No More Excuses: Rebuild, Organize, Win – #DNCReset

Democratic National Committee (DNC) Executive Committee

Under Jamie Harrison’s leadership, the DNC raised over $1 billion yet failed to secure critical victories. Democrats lost ground with working-class voters, suffered major setbacks in key battleground cities, and allowed Trump to win both the popular vote and the Electoral College.

The Reality We Face:

  • Working-Class Support Decline: Democrats lost the working class across both income and education levels. Trump won non-college-educated voters 56%-42% and flipped voters earning $30K-$100K—reversing past Democratic victories.
  • Black Voter Support Erosion: Trump made significant gains in cities with large Black populations like Philadelphia, Detroit, Atlanta, and Chicago. The party cannot continue to take Black voters for granted while offering little in return.
  • Popular Vote and Electoral College Loss: For the first time in the 21st century, a Republican candidate won both the popular vote and the Electoral College.
  • Where Did the Money Go? Over $1 billion was raised and spent—yet the results speak for themselves. Too much went to consultants, celebrities, and their friends, instead of building real organizing power in the communities that needed it most.

As a new DNC Chair is selected, we demand a bold reset. The same failed strategies cannot continue. If Democrats want to win in 2026 and 2028, the DNC must commit to the following urgent reforms:

A NEW PATH FORWARD – A FULL #DNCReset

  1. Full Financial Audit: Where did the money go? Voters deserve transparency on how funds were allocated—between grassroots organizing, voter outreach, consultants, and celebrity endorsements.
  2. Build from the Ground Up: The DNC must shift from top-down campaigns to year-round grassroots investment—empowering precincts, blocks, and neighborhoods, not just funding TV ads and last-minute campaign blitzes.
  3. Rebuild Trust with Black and Working-Class Voters: Democrats must prioritize economic justice, racial equity, and direct community investments to re-engage the very voters who built this coalition.
  4. Accountability in Resource Allocation: Every dollar must be laser-focused on winning elections and delivering for voters, not wasted on ineffective strategies.
  5. The Descendants Fund: Dedicate 12% of DNC consultant spending to Black American consultants to ensure authentic engagement with key voters.
  6. Modernize Democratic Messaging: Invest in independent content creators for long- and short-form digital media to reclaim the messaging ecosystem from GOP dominance.
  7. Prioritize Young Voters—Gen Z & Gen Alpha: Trust in the Democratic Party among young voters is at a breaking point. Their voices must be intentionally included—not as an afterthought, but as a core part of decision-making.

We, the undersigned—Democratic voters, former county chairs, organizers, and activists—demand that the DNC adopt these urgent reforms. The future of the party depends on it.

DNC Executive Committee,

The Democratic Party is at a crisis point. Despite raising over $1 billion, the DNC failed to secure critical victories where it mattered most. Working-class voters defected, Black voter support eroded, and for the first time in the 21st century, a Republican won both the popular vote and the Electoral College. If Democrats do not change course immediately, we risk losing the next decade—and an entire generation of voters.

The Reality We Face:
-Working-Class Abandonment: Trump flipped voters earning $30K-$100K and won non-college-educated voters 56%-42%, reversing past Democratic strongholds.

-Black Voter Erosion: Democratic support collapsed in cities like Philadelphia, Detroit, Atlanta, and Chicago. The party cannot continue to take Black voters for granted.

-Misallocated Resources: Over $1 billion was raised—yet too much went to consultants, celebrities, and ineffective strategies instead of real grassroots organizing.

-A Lost Generation of Voters: Young people—Gen Z and Gen Alpha—are increasingly disillusioned with the party. If we lose their trust, we lose the future.

A New Path Forward – The #DNCReset

To win in 2026 and 2028, the DNC must commit to:
-A Full Financial Audit: The people deserve transparency—where did the money go?

-Year-Round Grassroots Investment: No more last-minute spending. Power must be built from the precincts up, not top-down.

-Authentic Engagement with Black & Working-Class Voters: Democrats must rebuild trust with those who built this coalition.

-Strategic Spending: No more blank checks for failed strategies—every dollar must be laser-focused on winning.

-A New Media Strategy: Invest in independent, authentic content creators to counter GOP propaganda.

-Prioritizing the Future—Gen Z & Gen Alpha: Young voters must have a seat at the table—not as an afterthought, but as a core part of decision-making.

We, the undersigned—Democratic voters, former county chairs, organizers, and activists—demand immediate reform. The same failed strategies must end now. The future of the party depends on it.
